That’s because recently someone set the adjoining palm trees on fire 😲. The fire department poured water under pressure onto the palms, which caused flaming embers to rain onto the existing top floor shades! Luckily, while the fabric didn’t catch fire–Parasol meets NFPA-701 and ASTM E-84 Class 1 or A rating–the embers did burn holes in the fabric. Consequently, the parking garage owner had all the “holey” shades replaced with new Parasol fabric, and was very happy the shade fabric didn’t contribute to the fire damage!
